Event: Documentary Screening and Presentation: "Teaching Rebellion" in Oaxaca
Description: a book tour for the book 'teaching rebellion' about the teacher's
struggle in Oaxaca over the last two years, and particularly about the conflict
two years ago when striking teachers and other community organizations held the
city against police and army incursion for six months - took over radio stations
and tv, and camped out at street barricades all night. A documentary film will be
shown, as well as large-format photographs of the clashes with police as well as
other elements of that pivotal time.
